For this project I wanted to continue working on one of my previous weekly assignments, to create a tool, which can visualise images in 3D using a depth estimation model hosted by hugging-face
.
In the past I have found a lot of people working with point clouds in various different 3D software, making amazing art with them, which always looks really cool.

All in all the development journey was quite enjoyable. For the post part I was working locally, with many small, test images to make iterations a bit faster. WebGL was very new to me, so that took a bit of time to get used to, but in the end it was quite intuitive to use.
Detailed Progress Report
I would like to showcase this project on my portfolio
, so I wanted to make sure it worked standalone and in fullscreen
, thus the more elaborate styling. It is meant as an technical demo
rather than an experience, but still made somewhat interactive allowing the user to input any image they desire.
